AssureVault announces new Hybrid Cloud tiered storage and services

AssureVault has announced new tiered storage and services associated with their Hybrid Cloud backup and recovery business. The new storage categories and services provide a wide range of services and costs to meet your data protection needs based on your budget and the value that you place on your information.

The new lower priced tiered storage offerings and related services eliminate the need to ever be concerned again about protecting your information systems. The new services can protect servers, workstations, laptops, files, emails and databases. There are no hardware or software investments on your part or maintenance contracts to renew. All data is encrypted to insure its safety and de-duplicated and compressed to minimize your costs. All backup operations are monitored 7x24 and problems are reported to our team and you immediately. Quarterly validations are preformed to insure the integrity of the backup data. This service can be provided for as low as $60 per year for up to 10GB of laptop storage. The new offerings include:

Disk-to-Disk Backup and Recovery – This service is ideal for small to mid-size companies who are currently dealing with tape-based backup operations. The advantages over tape based backups include:

  • Removal of all tape operations (loading, unloading, etc.)
  • Elimination of ongoing purchases of tapes
  • Elimination of hardware and software contracts associated with your current backup solution
  • Elimination of software upgrades that may or may not work
  • Offsite storage of your backup disks
  • Point and click recovery without waiting for tapes to be recalled
  • Backup operations that are fully monitored by AssureVault’s support team
  • Routine reporting of all backup and recovery activities.

This service can be fully implemented for fee as low as $160 per month for up to 200 GB of storage protection including offsite storage and rotation services (pickup and delivery of disks to/from our FIRELOCK media vault) Optionally, the D2D service can be configured to backup your data between multiple company sites.

Laptop Backup and Recovery – this new service is designed to protect your portable laptops, be there one or one hundred. It includes a simple installation process and an easy to use interface that is designed to protect default folders on your laptop including My Documents and email. It also includes a wizard that allows files to be restored with just a few clicks. The benefits include:

  • A fully managed and automated service that provides regularly scheduled backups of your laptop files and emails
  • Near instantaneous recovery of files and emails
  • Storage of all backup data in AssureVault’s Hybrid Cloud
  • 7x24 monitoring of all backups with notification of errors
  • Routine reporting of all backup and recovery activities including monthly summaries
  • A yearly cost of $60 to protect up to 10 GB of laptop data.

Understanding What Needs to Protected – AssureVault will provide an analysis of your current storage usage to help you analyze what really needs to be protected. In other words, help you understand your data. The goal of this process is to minimize the cost of your backup operations while making sure that your business data is properly protected. This is an automated no charge service that will look at your storage systems over a few days or week and provide you with a set of reports that we can review with you to identify very old static data, duplicate files, etc. that might be able to be removed or placed into archive storage. We can also work with you to create “data retention” rules will allow data to be migrated to lower cost storage as it ages in your system or isn’t referenced.
